10 years is a long time – it’s the difference between being born and walking yourself to school – it’s the difference between walking yourself to school and walking yourself into your first apartment and it’s the difference between starting a business and deciding it’s time to let it go. Everything has a time and the time of THE GEN is coming to an end.

THE GEN has seen many changes in the past 10 years – from the original “Old General Store” inspired shop in Warkworth, to our beautiful newly renovated location in Hastings, to our cobblestoned outdoor marketplace, THE GEN BRIDGE. We survived Covid, the renos, the big move, the TGB build and of late, we’re navigating trade wars – all in a day’s work, or should we say all in 10 years’ work?

So, after 10 years, it’s time for Trish & JO to step away – what’s next? Stay tuned!
